- YEARS CYCLING I cycled quite a lot when I was in my teens, but had a big off and stopped shortly afterwards. That was the last time I did any exercise, up until about two months ago when I started cycling again and signed up for a London to Bruges bike ride for the British Heart Foundation.
What is your current weekly exercise program ?
No structured plans in place at the moment. goind for a ride about once every two weeks building up the milage. most so far is 20 miles.
What are your fitness/training goals ? Why are you taking the “100 mile bike challenge” ?
I work in retail and do a 5 week rolling rota, which is (was) my excuse to do absolutely no excercise whatsoever. Although I’m on my feet all day It doesnt keep me fit, so I am now at the stage where I get out of breath doing anything remotely challenging. I wish to enjoy rather than endure my London to Bruges bike ride in June 2010, and continue to maintain a good level of fitness thereafter
Which sports person inspires you the most and why?
